Presentation to Urgent Care Centre will attract a facility fee of $160.00.

This is a flat fee regardless of the service provided and is payable upon arrival at the centre.

This facility fee is not covered by Medicare or health funds.

All other fees billed at the end of a patient admission to the Urgent Care Centre, which differ due to the type of service or complexity of procedure provided, will be rebated in full by Medicare.

The State Government have committed to subsidise the facility fee for eligible concession-card holders who present with Urgent Care conditions between the hours of:

-5pm-7pm weekdays

-8am-2pm weekends

These patients MUST call us on 6338 9898 to be triaged to ensure that they fulfil government eligibility and are able to be treated in the Urgent Care Centre. A Medicare fee is still payable on discharge, though this is fully rebated.

We now accept Afterpay, in addition to all major credit and debit cards, and EFT payments.

X-Rays and Pathology tests provided by our partners at X-Ray Newstead and Launceston Pathology are bulk billed for Medicare cardholders. Ultrasound services are only available on weekdays. Some ultrasound services (excluding musculoskeletal ultrasound) are bulk-billed for concession-card holders, though demand may limit availability.

Please note that X-Ray Newstead operates at reduced hours of 9am-12pm and 2pm-8pm on weekends.
