Acute Illness

Acute Illness

Does your illness require urgent treatment?

The Urgent Care Centre in Launceston is equipped to address non-life-threatening illness, where our doctors and nurses will provide rapid diagnosis and treatment. We may also provide a prescription for ongoing medication which can be collected at our co-located pharmacy, or arrange for ongoing care in the community through the Community Rapid Response Service.

Illnesses in need of urgent care are those which significantly hinder day-to-day activity and require timely treatment, but which are not immediately life-threatening.

Please note that we are unable to treat patients with COVID-19 symptoms (fever and respiratory symptoms) at this time. Please call the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738.

If you are unsure where your condition falls, please give us a call.
